How the seed is doing 
The seed in the cotton pad/ glass jar is a lot longer than last week 

The green stalk Measures about 15mm 

The seed in the pot isn't going so well it has grown but not so much

How the plant is going on?

The shoot is growing out of our seed. It measures 30mm today. Date: 14.5.15

The one in the cotton wool has grown a lot more and got a little green stalk

The one in the soil has not grown much it just shows some seed and a shoot it has grown 5mm

Purpose: To attempt to convince the reader 
WALT persuade by advertising POUTOKOMANAWA
Success Criteria
  • Opening statement - introduce your point of view 
  • Use good reasons and evidence to convince your readers 
  • Use facts rather than persuasive comments 
  • Try to get the reader interested and on your side - appear reasonable 
  • Fascinate your readers so that they agree with you  
  • Use strong, positive language 
  • Short sentences can help give emphasis 
  • Make the reader think that everybody else does this, agrees or that it will make them a better, happier person, eg Everyone agrees that..., We all know that...  
  • Draw the reader in, eg At long last the ...... that you have been waiting for  
  • Be informative, persuasive and friendly
  • Alliteration can make slogans memorable, eg Buy British Beef 
  • Use humour as it can help get people on your side

What are the differences between the seeds? The soaked are bigger and the colour is little lighter the rest is about the same 
What do you think caused the differences? The water and how long it was in the water for cause it stayed in the water overnight
